Dreaded bedtime

Why are kids so difficult? Why is it in order for them to complete a task in a timely manner you must be stuck to them like glue?

Here's an example. When asked to fold 2 baskets of clothes, my children took 4 hours to finish half of each. All the while I am busy cooking dinner and doing my chores. Every time I go in to check on them they are playing around. The tv was turned off after the first 10 minutes. Ok that didn't work.

My youngest has this great plan that works every time but is pitting his brother and sister against him. He just doesn't fold. He will pretend to be folding 1 item forever and by the time they are finally done he has folded maybe 3 things. I think next week will be a chore free day for the older 2, leaving all the chores to him. Maybe he will learn then that he has to do his share?

So right now what are they doing? They are supposed to be putting away the clothes they actually did fold and getting ready for bed. All I hear above me is "BOOM....STOMP STOMP STOMP.......NOOOO. hehehehehaHAHAHAHA." I don't think they have figured out what I have told them to do. But see if I go up there I am going to get upset and be put in a bad mood. Therefore they will be in a bad mood. So I am letting them have an extra 10 minutes to get ready in hopes of them accomplishing this one task so I can avoid all the unhappiness that is sure to follow.

And in waltzes my 9 year old daughter happy as can be "mommy I'm all ready for bed. I'm only down here cause I am getting my dolly. But the BOYS were sword fighting so they still aren't ready". Little miss tattle tale is our nickname for this little one!

Well I have finished my hot cocoa, so I must inevitably head up the stairs. Wish me luck in actually finding the boys in bed! SSsssshhhhh....It is actually quiet above me!

Scrappin!

Ok so I have finally begun scrapping our trip to Punta Cana. I know very few techniques and can never plan anything out before I scrap. Everything is made up as I go. I get ideas from here there and everywhere. I love love love watching youtube to be inspired and will look at all the pictures in scrapbooking magazines and books. But I never read them! I'm terrible I know. I figured this was as good a place as any to post my artwork (if you can call it that). I figured someone ought to see my creations. So come look, comment, give me suggestions......

Ladies. There used to be a time when if you walked into a ladie's restroom you could boast to the men that our restrooms were so much cleaner than theirs. But lately I don't know wether I'm in a men's or woman's bathroom! Seriously. Every single toilet I have met has had to be cleaned off due to mass amounts of liquid sitting atop the seat. What has happened to the women of this day and age? How hard is it to just sit on the damn toilet?! When you "squat" it splashes! Thus meaning the next person to enter the stall, will as well squat and splash. Let's break this cycle. The next time you enter a stall. Clean off the toilet seat and SIT DOWN!!!! If we all do this we might actually leave the bathroom at the same time our significant others do. Thus ending the question, "what takes you so long?"
